The shop in Barcelona has been gradually changing whilst its shop floor space has been extending.
The Passeig de Gràcia building is classified as and forms part of Barcelona's architectural heritage. It was projected in 1899 by the architect named Antoni Rovira i Rabassa and was owned by a painter named Ramón Casas.
One of the most interesting extentions occurred in 1985 with the annexation of the main floor of the building. Through this space, where the Furniture department currently exists, there is access to the back terrace, which is one of Barcelona's most beautiful patios of the Eixample district. During the 1950s, this main floor was inhabited by the haute couteur firm, Asunción Bastida.
From the terrace you can admire the Pedrera building by Gaudi in great detail from behind, which is situated in the same block.
The zones which used to be used for warehousing have transformed over the years into shop floor sales space with entrances on different streets.
